Kevin Yee-Chan,
Registered Acupuncturist

Kevin (he/they) is an acupuncturist and qigong and yoga practitioner who offers short- and long-term treatment plans, embodiment courses, and healing retreats.

His acupuncture treatments incorporate palpation and Tui Na massage, which provide continual biofeedback to individualize your session. This also offers your body the receptivity & relaxation that is optimal for Kevin’s gentle, effective Classical Chinese needling technique.

In practice, he is particularly familiar with physical pain & injury, hormonal health, and mental-emotional health. Through acupuncture, he studies with Daoist lineage teachers like Yvonne Farrell and Hamid Montakab (students of Jeffrey Yuen).

Other areas of continual study include polyvagal theory by Stephen Porges, trauma and socio-cultural health with Gabor Maté, non-violent communication by Marshall Rosenberg, queer theory by Alok Vaid-Menon, and fertility by Laura Elrich.
He holds a Diploma of Acupuncture (Magna Cum Laude) from Pacific Rim College, a bachelor of performing arts from Saint Mary’s College of California, and certifications in the Shi Ba Shi Taiji Qigong System as well as Advanced Tui Na (Chinese medical massage).

His journey with healing arts has evolved out of a fascination with the body from his earlier careers as an international ballet dancer and senior yoga teacher. He has lived, worked, and studied in New York, San Francisco, Germany, France, Bali, and Victoria before settling in Vancouver/xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Tsleil-waututh Nations.

This has given him the fortune to navigate differing landscapes of nature and culture as they inform the health of our individual and collective bodies.

Kevin’s diverse background and experience offer an inclusive, integrative experience of healing. Outside of the clinic, he’s a fan of homemade food, curious art and long sunsets!
